Forward Medical is a privately owned clinic, and we strive to provide the best possible service to our patients. The costs associated with the running of our clinic are not covered by the government, hence the quality medical care we offer is reflected in our fees. All patients will be required to pay a gap fee for consultations, with the exception of children with Medicare under the age of 16. Concession card holders will also be offered a discounted rate or bulk billed at the treating doctor's discretion. In case of our doctor completing a referral or requesting investigations through an outside service, there may be costs involved and it is the patient's responsibility to determine this.
Fees for standard GP consultations (also applicable to Telehealth appointments) effective 5th of August 2024 are as follows:
- Standard consultation: Upfront fee= $93.00 | Medicare rebate= $42.85 | Gap= $50.15
- Long consultation: Upfront fee= $143.00 | Medicare rebate= $82.90 | Gap= $60.10
- Prolonged Consult: Upfront fee= $203.00 | Medicare rebate= $122.15 | Gap= $80.85
We will instantly process your Medicare claim for you, after which you will receive the rebate directly into your bank account.
**Please note there are additional charges for "after hours" consultations, including on Saturdays after 1:00pm. Sorry no bulk billing or concession rate available for children and concession card holders on Saturdays.**

Please be aware that other health professionals (e.g. pathology, radiology, specialists) may charge an out of pocket fee and patients should inquire with individual organisations to determine this.
Please note that we will charge a cancellation/no show fee of $42.85 for all patients who fail to cancel at least 2 hours prior to their scheduled appointment time. Your understanding is appreciated as this is to ensure the appointment can be offered to another patient.
